As many as six people were evacuated and five people were charred to death when a fire broke out in a house in northwest Delhi's Pitampura area on Thursday evening.
"Three casualties were reported and two more deaths have been confirmed in the blaze at Pritampura residence, taking the count of deaths to five," updated Delhi Police.
According to Rajendra Nagar Fire Officer, Chandra Nayak," Fire broke out in a barrel manufacturing company complex in Rangareddy district. The complex where the fire broke out manufactures barrels and paints them."
Several wholesale and retail vegetable shops were gutted in the fire. Four fire tenders have rushed to the spot and efforts are on to douse the fire, fire officials said.
The charred remains of two people were recovered from a building in the Girgaon Chowpatty area of Mumbai after a fire broke out on Saturday night, officials said.
Manish, a resident of Malviya Nagar, was travelling towards ITO, when the car reached Panchsheel Gate No. 3, and it suddenly hit at a spot and caught fire, officials said.
