In order to ensure that incidents like Chamoli (electrocution incident) do not recur, a high-level meeting of all executive organizations working in the state was taken by Additional Chief Secretary Radha Raturi at the Secretariat on Tuesday on the instructions of the Chief Minister.
“The report of the magisterial inquiry has been received on the accident at the STP plant in Chamoli. Action will be taken on the basis of this. The culprits will not be spared at all. FIR has been registered. Strict action is being taken while fixing the responsibility,” said CM Pushkar Sin

A case has been registered against the company responsible for maintaining the sewage treatment plant in Chamoli, where 16 people died due to electrocution on Wednesday, said an official.
The police received the information from Alshifa hospital at around 4 pm on Thursday. The deceased has been identified as one Danish (22), son of Muhammad Murshid, resident of Vishwakarma Colony in Delhi's Kalindi Kunj.

As per the officials, 16 people died on Wednesday after they came in contact with the railing of an electrified bridge above the Alaknanda River in Uttarakhand's Chamoli district.
