After defeating AAP's heavyweight Manish Sisodia from the Jangpura assembly constituency BJP leader Tarvinder Singh Marwah thanked Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President JP Nadda and Delhi BJP chief Virendraa Sachdeva for allowing him to contest against Sisodia.
As per the latest Election Commission data, BJP is set to win 48 out of the 70 assembly seats. Meanwhile, AAP's 10-year-rule has ended as the party prepares to be in the Opposition now, winning only 22 seats.

According to the Election Commission of India, Negi has won the seat by a margin of 28,072 votes as he has won a total of 74,060 votes while AAP's Awadh Ojha has got only 45,988 votes. Congress' Anil Kumar has got 16,549 votes.
