Delhi's Karkardooma Court on Wednesday framed charges against six accused persons for allegedly attacking Hindus and damaging their property by setting them ablaze during the Delhi riots of 2020. This case pertains to the area of police station Bhajanpura.
This case pertains to the murder of a person in the Jafrabad area in February 2020. They have also been charged for the offences of promoting enmity between two communities. These accused persons were identified on the basis of CCTV footage.
According to officials, the accused tried to rob the victims and attacked them with sharp-edged weapons at separate lanes on the intervening night of Friday.

Delhi's Karkardooma Court will hear arguments on charges against Umar Khalid, Sharjeel Imam, Tahir Hussain and other accused in the Northeast Delhi riots on a daily basis in a larger conspiracy case from September 11.
The case is related to riot and arson at a car showroom on Main Wazirabad Road, Opposite Petrol Pump Bhajanpura, Delhi. The mob had also set the other vehicles on fire and window panes of the cars were broken.
"Manzoor and his family were opposed to the relationship. The father of the girl had spoken with the deceased a week ago and warned him to not pursue his daughter," said, Joy Tirkey, DCP (northeast).
