As many as 12 drug peddlers including 4 women were arrested along with contraband drugs in Guwahati by Special Task Force (STF) of Assam police on Monday evening.
The Bandra Unit of Mumbai's Anti Narcotics Cell arrested four drug peddlers from the Santa Cruz area and recovered drugs worth Rs 1.18 crore from them, said Mumbai police in a press release on Saturday.
The sleuths of the Special Operations Team (SOT), Maheshwaram Zone team along with Choutuppal Police, Rachakonda busted an interstate drug syndicate and arrested two drug peddlers on Friday. 200 kgs of Ganja and a vehicle all worth Rs. 70 lakhs were seized.

The sleuths of the Special Task Force (STF) of Assam on Saturday apprehended six drug peddlers and seized 87.4 grams of heroin at the Sonapur area in Assam's Kamrup (Metro) district.
Police on Friday seized 43,000 Yaba tablets and apprehended five drug peddlers including a minor boy in two separate operations in Assam's Cachar district.
According to the police, the drugs were transported from Pakistan using drones. The Punjab Police Chief Gaurav Yadav termed the crackdown "a big blow to trans-border narcotic network".
A total of 133 habitual drug smugglers have been identified under different police stations in Dehradun following the instruction of Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Dehradun, Ajay Singh.
Deputy Inspector General (STF) of Police Partha Sarathi Mahanta told ANI that, "Acting upon a source input on a probable drugs consignment an operation was launched by STF Assam on Saturday in Guwahati to foil the criminal act by apprehending the persons involved."
"Under the Drug-Free Devbhoomi 2025 campaign of Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami, Dehradun police has taken action against drug smugglers in various police stations," Ajay Singh, SSP Dehradun told ANI.
