The Rouse Avenue court on Friday dismissed application moved by Dalvin Suresh, father of deceased Nevin Dalvin who died due to drowning in Old Rajender basement of RAU's IAS Study Circle.
Eight people drowned while bathing in the Meshwo River in Gujarat's Gandhinagar on Friday, an official said. The incident took place in Vasna Sogathi village.
According to locals, the commando saved the woman as she struggled in the lake. Officials narrating the incident said that, without delay and on the orders of Team Commander Ravi Kumar Rai, Commando Ravi Kumar immediately rushed into the water to rescue her.
Rouse Avenue Court on Wednesday sent all six accused of Delhi's Rajinder Nagar coaching centre drownings of three UPSC aspirants, to judicial custody till September 18, 2024.
According to officials, the person has been identified as Ramnivas Meena. The officials confirmed that he was returning home after grazing his cattle when he slipped into the river and lost his life.
"A 15-year-old boy died due to drowning in Delhi's Chanakyapuri area. This incident happened at around noon when it was raining heavily. This boy was playing and the flow of water was very fast. After going some distance, the body of the boy was found," said Delhi Police.
The Rouse Avenue court on Friday rejected the bail pleas of four co-owners of the basement where the drowning incident happened. Accused Sarabjit, Harvinder, Parvinder and Tejinder moved pleas seeking regular bail. The accused were arrested on July 28.

The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) on Wednesday sealed the basement spaces of ten coaching centers and libraries in Shahdara (South Zone), Karol Bagh, and Najafgarh Zone for violating building bylaws.
