Earlier, Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) dismissed Tamil Nadu Forest Minister K Ponmudy from the position of Deputy General Secretary in the party, following his reported controversial remarks on Hinduism and women.
TN BJP President Nainar Nagendran said the DMK will be "thrown out" in 2026 and expressed confidence that the NDA alliance will form the government. He described the BJP-AIADMK alliance as strong and natural, with growing momentum.
