Congress leader DK Suresh criticised the Union Budget for 2026-2027, alleging that the fiscal plan provides no new roadmap for southern states, declaring that the budget offers "nothing" at all to the people.
Speaking to ANI in response to Congress leader DK Suresh's recent remarks on Wednesday, Narayanaswamy said that statements made by senior Congress leaders themselves suggest that there was an earlier agreement on a 2.5-year tenure for the Chief Minister's post.
Earlier on Tuesday, Congress leader DK Suresh urged patience, asserting that DK Shivakumar remains disciplined and committed to the party's collective decision-making process.
Suresh asserted that both the leaders have made promises to the people of the state, which they need to fulfil. He further said that there were no talks on "power sharing," as both leaders clearly stated, so the issue doesn't need to be discussed.
Speaking to reporters at his Sadashivanagar residence, he said, "I have seen the reports in the media. This is the prerogative of the High Command and the CM, let's wait and watch."
Speaking to the reporters in Bengaluru on Tuesday, DK Shivakumar mentioned that they have complained unknown people were using their names in matters related to the case.
"We don't expect anything different from the ED. Instead of summoning a few MLAs, they might as well raid all 136 Congress MLAs. This is becoming a joke. We all know what the ED is about, so all of us have to be prepared whether they (ED or IT) come to our houses," Rao told ANI.
The ED officials had initially asked Suresh to appear at their office on Thursday, June 19, at 11 AM, but Suresh has requested to defer his appearance to June 23.
