The High Court of Karnataka on Monday once again ordered the re-issuing of summons to HD Revanna, son of former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda, in connection with a case of alleged election irregularities.
Hours after triggering a political storm by claiming that the LDF government in Kerala had consented to an alliance of the Janata Dal (Secular) with the BJP, former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda has backtracked saying that he never said that CPM in Kerala supports BJP-JDS alliance.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Friday rejected former Prime Minister HD Deve Gowda's claim and termed his statement as "untrue" and "absurd".
Reacting to his expulsion as the Janata Dal-Secular (JD-S) Karnataka President post, JD-S leader CM Ibrahim launched an attack at the JD-S Supremo HD Deve Gowda asking the latter to "wait and watch."

Weighing in on former ally JD(S) joining the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) ahead of next year's Lok Sabha elections, Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah on Wednesday said he does not have any "problems" with the party taking a saffron turn.
