BJP MP Bansuri Swaraj expressed confidence that Delhi Chief Minister-designate and Bharatiya Janata Party leader Rekha Gupta would write a new chapter of development under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
Rekha Gupta will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi, succeeding AAP's Atishi. The National Capital has had women Chief Ministers from the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party.
Before his arrival, Union Home Minister Amit Shah, along with Union Minister and BJP National President JP Nadda, reached Ramlila Maidan for the ceremony and greeted the CM-to-be Rekha Gupta.
"A very good message has been given to Delhi (by electing BJP leader Rekha Gupta as the Delhi CM) as BJP has always talked about the participation of women...We will ensure good governance in Delhi," the BJP leader told ANI.

Delhi CM-designate Rekha Gupta's son, Nikunj, expressed confidence in her leadership on Thursday, stating that her three decades of hard work had finally paid off.

Rekha Gupta will take the oath as Delhi CM at a swearing-in ceremony at Delhi's Ramilila Maidan. Six other ministers, including Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, will also take the oath.
