"PM has sent message that he always talks of empowering women": Ravi Kishan on Delhi CM designate Rekha Gupta

Rekha Gupta will take the oath as Delhi CM at a swearing-in ceremony at Delhi's Ramilila Maidan. Six other ministers, including Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Manjinder Singh Sirsa, Ravinder Indraj Singh, Kapil Mishra, and Pankaj Kumar Singh, will also take the oath.

New Delhi [India], February 20 (ANI): BJP MP Ravi Kishan said on Thursday that by electing Rekha Gupta as Delhi's Chief Minister-designate, Prime Minister Narendra Modi had sent a message to the entire world that he always talks of empowering women.
"PM Modi has sent a message to the entire world (by electing BJP leader Rekha Gupta as Delhi CM), that he always talks of empowering women. Today is a day of celebrations today...I congratulate everyone and the world will see the development of Delhi," he said.
BJP leader Vijender Gupta said, "It is a matter of joy that the BJP is forming the government after 27 years."
Union Minister Harsh Malhotra asserted that there is a lot to do in Delhi.
"I thank PM Modi. He doesn't just speak about women's empowerment, but he has also shown the path to it... There is a lot to do in Delhi... We will implement the Ayushman Bharat yojana... The work on Yamuna has already started," Malhotra told ANI.

Rekha will be the fourth woman Chief Minister of Delhi. The National Capital has had women Chief Ministers from the BJP, Congress, and Aam Aadmi Party. She will succeed Atishi.
An elected MLA from Shalimar Bagh seat, Rekha has served as general secretary of BJP Mahila Morcha in Delhi and as a member of its national executive committee. In these roles, she initiated numerous campaigns for the welfare of marginalized communities and women.
Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is forming a government in the national capital after 27 years.BJP won 48 seats out of 70 seats, while Aam Aadmi Party could win only 22 seats in the assembly polls held earlier this month. Congress could not open its account in the third successive election. (ANI)
