Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar cast his vote in the first phase of the 2025 Bihar Assembly elections on Thursday morning and, after depositing his ballot, displayed his inked finger to the media.
"All of us should celebrate the festival of democracy with great enthusiasm. Today, voting for the first phase of Bihar Election is taking place. We urge all voters to vote and celebrate this 'Loktantra Ka Mahaparv'," the Union Minister told press persons after casting his vote.
"I have full faith that NDA will win. The people of Bihar are celebrating this festival of democracy for development and voting to reject 'jungle raj'. I request everyone to go to polling booths and cast their votes, Bihar has been the mother of democracy," he told ANI.
As polling for Bihar elections began on Thursday, Union Minister Rajiv Ranjan Singh alias Lalan Singh termed it a "festival of democracy", expressing confidence in the National Democratic Alliance's victory.
