A 16-year-old boy, studying in Class 10, sustained multiple injuries after being assaulted allegedly by four of his school teachers in the Yamuna Vihar area of Delhi, officials said.
Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has ordered the immediate suspension of the concerned teachers and the vice principal in response to an alleged sexual assault incident within a Delhi Government School.
Delhi education minister Atishi on Tuesday said Kejriwal directed disciplinary action against the accused for failing to report the matter to the Police.
A case was registered by the Delhi police against unknown persons under relevant sections of the IPC on Saturday after 23 students from Nigam Pratibha Vidyalaya, located in Delhi's Inderpuri, were hospitalized on Friday following vomiting, said the police.
According to the advisory, Directorate of Education said, "The parents are requested to ensure that their wards do not carry mobile phones in the school premises. In case, students bring mobile phones to the school, then the school authorities shall make adequate and appropriate arrangeme
The MCD declared the list of schools that would remain closed on July 18 owing to the relief camps there or as a preventative measure due to waterlogging.
All Delhi schools and colleges will remain closed till Sunday and government offices, except those providing essential services, will resort to working from home, Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Thursday.
