According to sources, there can be a discussion on giving the command of the alliance to West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee. The role of INDIA Bloc in the upcoming Delhi Assembly elections can also be discussed in the meeting.
The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) released its second list of candidates on Monday, in which Manish Sisodia was fielded from Jangpura instead of his previous seat in Patparganj. The AAP also dropped 17 sitting MLAs, opting to replace them with new faces.
The list announced the names of 20 candidates following a crucial meeting of its Political Affairs Committee (PAC) on Monday, chaired by party convenor Arvind Kejriwal.
According to AAP, the agenda of the meeting will center around finalizing the party's list of candidates, with a particular focus on selecting individuals who can effectively represent AAP in various constituencies across Delhi.
This comes after BJP put up posters 'Ab Nahi Sahenge, Badal Ke Rahenge' (Won't tolerate anymore, will bring change) outside the BJP office in Delhi, attacking the AAP government.
The BJP has started its preparations for the Delhi assembly polls expected to be held in next year, 2025. The Delhi unit of the BJP party held a series of meetings in the last few days.
"The Sankalp Patra of the BJP and the manifesto are prepared after holding discussions with the public. The BJP has issued a WhatsApp number, a hashtag, and a website to gather feedback from the public," the BJP leader told ANI.
