Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) candidate for the Greater Kailash Assembly seat, Saurabh Bharadwaj, on Wednesday alleged that the Delhi Police were trying to stop people from casting their votes at a polling station in Chirag Delhi.
AAP MP Sanjay Singh on Wednesday condemned the detention of Valmiki community leader Uday Gill, alleging that he was being held at a police station without any reason.
He also demanded strict action against anyone violating the Model Code of Conduct, regardless of their affiliation. "Whether it is Atishi's PA or anyone else, strict action should be taken against those who violate the Model Code of Conduct (MCC)," said Bidhuri.
Vice President Jagdeep Dhankhar, accompanied by his wife Sudesh Dhankhar, cast their votes at the CPWD Service Centre in North Avenue for the Delhi Assembly Election.
After a sluggish turnout in the first two hours of the polling, a voter turnout of 19.95 per cent was recorded till 11 am on Wednesday in the single-phase Delhi assembly elections, as per the Election Commission of India.

As the Delhi assembly election is underway, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader Manjinder Singh Sirsa on Wednesday said that the people are going to be free from the ruling Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) in the national capital.
He emphasised that this election is crucial in deciding the future of the city, citing pressing issues like pollution, garbage management, and the cleaning of the Yamuna River.
