Youth Congress workers in Panchkula on Tuesday staged a protest against the Haryana Public Service Commission (HPSC) recruitment process, alleging disparities in job allocations and preferential treatment for candidates from outside the state.
Congress MP Deepender Singh Hooda on Tuesday criticised the government for restricting the Leader of the Opposition (LoP) from speaking on India-China relations, calling it a "dark day for democracy."
Speaking to reporters in the national capital, Hooda said the Central government had dealt a "major blow" to MGNREGA by withdrawing even its own share of contribution, impacting millions of beneficiaries across the country.
He added that citizens across the country have come forward to protect the Aravali hills. Hooda emphasised that "until the government openly declares that it will revoke the 100-meter length guideline, the concern regarding the Aravali will persist in people's minds."
Hooda said the Congress party has rejected the government's notification on the Aravalli range. "According to the notification, until further planning, no mining will be carried out. This is exactly what the Supreme Court has already said, so there is nothing new in it," he said.
Congress MP Deepender Hooda on Friday said that the Centre has not allocated sufficient funds to deal with the problem of air pollution, adding that Parliament must hold a debate over this matter next week.
Speaking to ANI, Deepender Hooda said, "We have faith that the INDIA alliance will perform well in Bihar. The way 65 lakh votes were removed and 25 lakh votes were added, the same was done in Haryana before the elections. BJP is doing this in partnership with the Election Commission, but
