Around 50 people participated in the protest demonstration where they shouted slogans demanding an end to Chinese rights violations in Tibet and freedom from China's control.
They showcased the independent lifestyle and freedom they enjoy while being outside of Tibet as compared to the lifestyle of Tibetans in occupied Tibet.
While speaking to reporters upon his arrival at his exile home in Dharamshala, he said that in Bodhgaya, he met people who carry India's 1000-year-old message of ahimsa (non-violence) and that it is his duty to spread the Buddhist message of ahimsa.
