Cyber Police Station, South East District, has arrested a fraudster named Kalyan Roy, a resident of Thakurmura village, Tripura (located at the Bangladesh border). The arrest led to the recovery of Rs 2.40 lakh, said the Cybercrime unit of Delhi Police.
Shahdara Cyber Police Station in the national capital has arrested a Chinese national, Fang Chenjin, in connection with a major cyber fraud case involving the cheating of over Rs. 43.5 lakhs, DCP Shahdara said.
After the meeting, CM Yadav interacted with media persons and highlighted that the Madhya Pradesh Police was working very efficiently to curb cybercrime in the state.
Delhi's Rohini court has recently granted bail to a man accused of selling financial details of customers to fraudsters who allegedly uses this to defraud credit card holders. This case pertains to an FIR registered at Cyber Police Station.
The Director General of Police, Jammu and Kashmir, RR Swain on Sunday inaugurated the newly constructed building of the Cyber Police Station at Bagh-e-Bahu, Jammu.
According to an official statement, the operation began following a complaint received at the Cyber Police Station, reporting a cyber fraud incident involving a total loss of Rs 101,100.
According to the police, On 21 August a complaint was received at Cyber Police Station Dwarka, wherein the complainant alleged that an unknown person contacted him through Facebook and offered him to buy gold and silver jewellery at wholesale rates.

Amid increasing cases of online forgeries, cyberbullying and other cybercrimes, one dedicated cyber police station each will be established in Raipur, Durg, Bilaspur, Jagdalpur and Surguja police ranges.
Detailing the incident, the police said, "A complainant reported at Cyber Police Station South regarding an online fraud of Rs. 6,38,700 through unknown persons who impersonated themselves as Japanese delegates."
