Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) [India], November 12 (ANI): Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav held a meeting with senior police officers at the state cyber police headquarters in Bhopal and took detailed information about the increasing cyber crime cases, especially digital arrests cases in the state.
After the meeting, CM Yadav interacted with media persons and highlighted that the Madhya Pradesh Police was working very efficiently to curb cybercrime in the state.

"MP Police is working very efficiently to curb cybercrime in the state. On November 11, businessman Vivek Oberoi, a resident of Arera Colony, was digitally arrested for about six hours at his home. On getting the information, our police team reached the spot and questioned those who were making digital arrests in the team. But they (the accused) were asking for ID from our real police," CM Yadav said.
Appreciating the efforts of state police, the CM added that the police did a great job when they scolded the cyber criminals and asked them to introduce themselves, the cyber criminals disconnected the video call.
"I am proud to say that Madhya Pradesh police have done a great job when they scolded them (cyber criminals) and did a great job when they scolded them (cyber criminals) and asked them to introduce themselves and when they came to know that it was a real police, they (cyber criminals) disconnected the video call," the CM said.
The chief minister further highlighted that Prime Minister Narendra Modi had talked in detail about digital arrest incidents in Mann Ki Baat program last month and he said that in this new era across the country, the people need to be vigilant as this new move for looting has started.
Additionally, the CM appealed to the public, "When such an incident happens with someone, first of all you yourself should be careful. There is a very large-scale robbery in digital arrest incidents, so avoid it and inform the police immediately, the police will help you."
He further elaborated that to avoid such crime in future, decisions were made to make the police high-tech. The police would open cyber stations in every district and every police station would have a cyber desk.
Further plans have been made to strengthen the cyber helpline number 1930. They would carry out a comprehensive cyber awareness campaign, through which such incidents can be prevented, the CM added. (ANI)
