West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Tuesday sanctioned prosecution against former state cabinet minister Partha Chatterjee in the multi crore teacher recruitment scam under Central Bureau of Investigation, Raj Bhawan sources said.
The Border Security Force (BSF) Special Director General YB Khurania on Thursday met West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose following the violence in the state during Panchayat polls which has claimed at least 10 lives.
"The only message I could get today is - if winter comes can spring be far behind? Good will happen in the days to come," the West Bengal Governor said.

After violence during panchayat polls in the state, West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose will visit Delhi and is likely to meet Union Home Minister Amit Shah.
Asking people to take violence off the purview of politics and how lack of peace will affect the new generation, he said that violence needs to be "nipped in the bud".

West Bengal has witnessed several instances of violence during the filing of nominations for the panchayat polls and thereafter. One incident involved the alleged hurling of crude bombs at a Block Development Office (BDO) in Ahmadpur, Birbhum district.
West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Friday urged people to exercise their franchise on voting day saying that the "permanent solution" to everything lies in the "black ink on the index finger."
The polls are likely to see a fierce tussle for control of local administrations between the ruling Trinamool Congress, Indian Secular Front and the Bharatiya Janata Party and will be a litmus test for both parties ahead of next year's Lok Sabha elections.
"I would rather request the Central government that it is the need of the hour that we should take cognizance of the 'intellect' that the Governor of West Bengal has and immediately send him to Manipur and states like Madhya Pradesh," Abhishek Banerjee advised.
