Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde on Wednesday strongly criticised those trying to give "a conspiratorial angle" to Nationalist Congress Party chief Ajit Pawar's death in a plane accident.
"How that aeroplane got there or landed, I don't know. Because the airstrip, where planes land and take off, is very large, not small. Despite all that, how did this happen? Was there a mistake in the plane, or did the pilot make a mistake? I can't say," Bhujbal told ANI.
"The incident happened today and is very unfortunate. Shambhavi came to me for Commercial Licensed Pilot training and completed her instructor rating. With me, she had flown 40-50 hours. Shambhavi joined my training centre before COVID, maybe in 2018-19," Mahajan told ANI.
"I am deeply saddened that we have reached such a point where such dirty and despicable politics are being played out even over someone's death," Fadnavis told ANI.

In an X post, the Indian Air Force stated that a dedicated team of Air Warriors has been deployed on the urgent request of the civic authorities after the Baramati plane crash. The team is providing basic Air Traffic Control and Meteorological services.
