The Delhi Police detained several Trinamool Congress leaders on Monday who were staging a protest outside the Election Commission office, in the national capital, demanding change of guard in central agencies including the CBI, NIA, ED and Income Tax Department.
Delhi police have filed an Action Taken Report (ATR) on a complaint filed against Congress leader Mallikarjun Kharge for allegedly making hate speech against the BJP-RSS in an election rally in Naregal, Karnataka, in April 2023.
"When I started working on this scam, I came to know that the 'kingpin' was someone else. The kingpin in this whole scam is Shiv Sena (UBT) spokesperson, Sanjay Raut...," Nirupam said while speaking to reporters at a press conference on Monday.
The funds were sourced from their household budgets, earnings from agricultural activities, goat rearing, and even a day's wage earned by their husbands.
