A total of 75 assembly constituencies in 26 districts in the state were identified in which voting percentage was below 75 per cent. The 'Voter Awareness Vehicles' will move for around a month in these 26 districts to make people aware to exercise their franchise.

Rajan made the remark while addressing a press conference in the state capital Bhopal on Friday. During this, he also shared information about the preparation for the counting of votes which is scheduled to be held on December 3.
The action was taken following the complaint of Congress party accusing the Balaghat District Election Officer of opening postal ballot votes before the counting day. The suspended official has been identified as Himmat Singh, who is posted as a tehsildar.

According to Madhya Pradesh Chief Electoral Officer Anupam Rajan, the number of general voters in the state is 5,60,60,925, out of which 2,88,25,607 are male voters, 2,72,33,945 are female voters and the third gender voters are 1373.
