Enforcement Directorate's (ED) fresh action in Chhattisgarh has stroke a 'war of words' in the political arena here as Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel called the raids a politically motivated move.
He was appointed as a Judge of Kerala High Court in 2004 before taking charge as Chief Justice of Calcutta, Telangana, Hyderabad and Chhattisgarh High Courts. Besides being a judge in Kerala High Court from 2004 to 2017, he also held the office twice as acting chief justice.
According to an official release, President Murmu boosted the morale of women from Chhattisgarh by addressing them through 'Chhattisgarhiya Sable Badiya'.
"They (ED) are beating up people and pressurizing them to sign documents and threaten them(Maarpit Kar Rahe Hain... Maar Maar Kar Likhwa Rahe Hain...Dastkhat Karwa Rahe Hain)," CM Baghel alleged.
The Chhatisgarh Government has informed the National Green Tribunal (NGT) that a ring-fenced amount of atleast Rs 1,000 crore is set apart for the purpose of solid as well as liquid waste management.
"Four of them have 10-15 per cent burns, while the other one has suffered more than 30 per cent burn injuries. The condition of all of them is stable and out of danger," said Dr Sanjay Prasad, Civil Surgeon, at Maharani Hospital, Jagdalpur.
An earthquake of magnitude 4.0 on the Ritcher scale occurred 140km ENE of Portblair, Andaman and Nicobar island on Friday, according to the National Center for Seismology (NCS).
According to the SDOP, the tractor ferrying over two dozen persons overturned leaving two women dead on the spot while one died in the hospital. Around 20 persons were injured in the mishap, of which five are in critical condition.
The tiger was injured on March 27 when it attacked and killed two men and critically injured a third near Kalamanjan Village under the Odgi block of the Surajpur District.
