German Chancellor Friedrich Merz will pay an official visit to India from January 12 to 13, at the invitation of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) announced on Monday.
Speaking on the occasion, Governor Abdul Nazeer said that higher education in the country is undergoing a major shift with the implementation of the National Education Policy 2020, which lays out a vision for a remarkable transformation in India's higher education landscape by 2040.
This came after the Ministry of Education constituted an Enquiry Committee to inquire into all matters pertaining to the ongoing situation in Tezpur University, including the allegations levelled against the Vice-Chancellor.
