A six-storey under-construction building collapsed in Bhadrachalam, Bhadradri Kothagudem district, on Wednesday, with two people feared trapped under the debris, an official said.
"It was reported that workers were trapped after the roof of an under-construction building collapsed. Upon receiving information, rescue teams from the administration and police reached the spot immediately and started a rescue operation," Jhabua SP Padma Vilochan Shukla said, adding that o
"We received the news about the collapse of a building. It is not yet estimated about the number of people inside (being trapped). Operation is underway," Deepak Pareek, Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Mohali told ANI at the spot.
According to Bangarapet police, "A three storey building belonging to an individual identified as Raj Kumar collapsed during the renovation of the ground floor. Three families in the house were evacuated by the fire brigade personnel."
One more body was recovered on Wednesday, bringing the total death toll to six from the site of an under-construction building that collapsed in the Horamavu Agara area of eastern Bengaluru yesterday.
