Telangana Minister KT Rama Rao on Friday participated in the launching of the CM Breakfast Scheme to provide nutritious breakfasts to over 23 lakh students in government schools from Class 1 to Class 10 at a Government School in West Marredpally.
"Today a dead rat was found in one of the breakfast packets from the meals supplied to the police assigned for duty in the ongoing Bengaluru Bandh and protests in the Cauvery water dispute," said Joint Commissioner of Traffic Police Anucheth.
The Assembly speaker inaugurated the project at Edapally Government V H S. School and also served food to the students. The speaker also humorously shared the connection between breakfast during school and the subject being studied during the occasion.
Inaugurating the programme in Nagapattinam district, CM Stalin shared a meal with a group of students at Panchayat Union Middle School in Thirukkuvalai and also distributed chocolates among them.
