Kerala Assembly Speaker launches 2nd phase of breakfast program for school students in Ernakulam

The Assembly speaker inaugurated the project at Edapally Government V H S. School and also served food to the students. The speaker also humorously shared the connection between breakfast during school and the subject being studied during the occasion.

Ernakulam (Kerala) [India], September 21 (ANI): Kerala Assembly Speaker AN Shamseer inaugurated the second phase of 'Good Morning Ernakulam', a breakfast program for school students in Ernakulam district.
The Assembly speaker inaugurated the project at Edapally Government V H S. School and also served food to the students. The speaker shared a humourous anecdote about the connection between breakfast during school and the subject being studied. 
Speaking on the occasion, Ernakulam MLA TJ Vinod said that the breakfast program for the students was launched as part of the 'Karuthalayi Ernakulam project' and would benefit more than 8000 students in the district. 
"The scheme will be implemented in 38 government and aided schools in the district. The aim of the project is that no child should attend class with an empty stomach," said Shamseer.
TJ Vinod MLA, Mayor M Anil Kumar and film actor Tiny Tom attended the inauguration ceremony.
The project has financial support from institutions including Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited (BPCL).  (ANI)
