The Hong Kong police on Thursday accused five activists based overseas of breaching China-imposed national security law and issued bounties worth USD 128,000 for information leading to each of their arrests, Voice of America (VOA) reported.
The Special Cell of Delhi Police, conducting an investigation into the Parliament security breach case, has detained two more people following their suspected association with five arrested in the case.
Lalit Jha, the fifth accused and mastermind in Parliament security breach case, has burned the mobile phones of his associates along with his friend Mahesh after fleeing to Rajasthan's Kuchaman, said police sources.
According to sources, the accused will be taken to the Parliament to recreate the scene of the crime. This will help the police to find out how the accused entered the Parliament building with colour spray and how they executed their plan, sources from the Special Cell said.
"Whatever happened yesterday was not right. The security agencies are conducting an investigation but politics should not be done on this issue. Everyone should work together to ensure that such incidents do not happen again. Those accused will be punished soon," Chatterjee said speaking
The opposition MPs were demanding a statement in the House on Prime Minister Narednra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah on the Parliament security breach incident.
"Lalit Jha reached Nagaur in Rajasthan by bus. There he met his two friends and spent the night in a hotel. When he realized that the police were searching for him, he came back to Delhi by bus," the Delhi Police said according to a preliminary investigation.
Protem Speaker Chetan Tupe, on Thursday, declared that an investigation will be conducted and action will be initiated against those shouting slogans from the press gallery of the Legislative Assembly.
