"A meeting with Maharashtra Chief Minister under the chairmanship of Union Home Minister Amit Shah will be held on December 14 or 15 over the border row between Karnataka and Maharashtra," said Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai.

Amid the ongoing Maharashtra-Karnataka border dispute, Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Tuesday said that he will talk to Union Home Minister Amit Shah over the issue.
"Maharashtra Chief Minister Shri Eknath Shinde had a telephonic discussion with me, we both agreed that there should be peace and law and order to be maintained in both the states," tweeted Bommai.
Patil and Desai were initially scheduled to visit Belagavi on December 3 but at the request of the Belagavi Ambedkar organization, their visit was postponed and both were to arrive in Belagavi on December 6.
"We have already communicated to them that it will create law and order problem, therefore, it's not the right time to come. I appeal to Maharashtra CM that the matter is in court and fight it legally," said Karnataka CM.
Karnataka Chief Minister Basavaraj Bommai on Friday said that the state chief secretary has asked her counterpart of Maharashtra not to visit Belagavi in view of the current situation between the two states over the border dispute.
Maharashtra ministers Chandrakant Patil and Shambhuraj Desai's visit to Belagavi in Karnataka to address the Karnataka-Maharashtra border issue has been postponed to December 6.
