After Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has registered victory in the Chandigarh Mayoral Elections, Delhi BJP President Virendraa Sachdeva said that it's a message that APP needs to be "thrown out" of power and Delhi people will be giving a similar message during Delhi Assembly polls.
To commemorate this milestone, Chief Minister Dhami said that January 27 will be observed annually as "UCC Diwas," highlighting its significance in India's post-independence history.
At a ceremony held at Mukhya Sevak Sadan at the CM's residence, the Chief Minister unveiled the UCC notification, inaugurated the UCC portal (ucc.uk.gov.in), and released the UCC Rulebook too.
Highlighting the significance of this development, CM Dhami stated that the implementation of the UCC marks a pivotal moment in India's post-independence history. He also announced that January 27 will be celebrated every year as UCC Diwas to commemorate this achievement.
