BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan on Thursday stated that the allegations of "voter fraud"made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at a press conference on the eve of the polling in Bihar revealed a "malafide motive to undermine the integrity" of the democratic Institutions.
Speaking to reporters here, the BJP leader said, "This is 'Loktantra ka mahaparv'. Step out of your houses and vote for the development of Bihar. We appeal to everyone that voting is the biggest right you have. Vote for the development of Bihar."
Condemning the opposition, the BJP leader later said that the claims made by the opposition party are baseless and "don't believe such misleading rhetoric".
The Patna Sahib seat has been a BJP stronghold since 2010, with Nand Kishore Yadav, the current Speaker of the Bihar Legislative Assembly, representing the constituency. However, Yadav is not contesting this time, having not received a ticket from the party.
