Hyderabad (Telangana) [India], November 6 (ANI): BJP National Spokesperson CR Kesavan on Thursday stated that the timing of the allegations of "voter fraud" made by Congress MP Rahul Gandhi at a "shady" press conference on the eve of the polling in Bihar revealed a "malafide motive to undermine the integrity" of the democratic Institutions.

The BJP leader termed the hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi as "staggering"

The BJP leader told ANI, "Rahul Gandhi's much-hyped H-bomb yesterday turned out to be a completely hollow hoax and hypocrisy bomb. The timing of Rahul Gandhi's press conference on the eve of voting was very shady and suspect, and also revealed a very malafide motive to discredit and undermine the integrity of democratic institutions.

"The hypocrisy of Rahul Gandhi was staggering".

Union Minister Kiren Rijiju on Wednesday called the vote-fraud allegation made by Rahul Gandhi a way to hide his failures and added, "Voting is two days away in Bihar, but today, Rahul Gandhi was narrating the story of Haryana. This clearly shows that there is no issue left in Bihar, so the Haryana issue is being fabricated to divert attention..."

Rahul Gandhi, in a press conference in the national capital on Wednesday, alleged "large-scale voter fraud" in the 2024 Haryana assembly elections.

He referred to the list of voters issued by the Election Commission ahead of the Haryana assembly polls and alleged that there were nearly 25 lakh fake votes in the state.

He stated that a corrupt voter list undermines democracy."Now, we have proof that the voter list in India is a lie. "If the voter list is a lie, there is no democracy," Gandhi said during his 'H Files' press conference.

Meanwhile, voting for the first phase of the Bihar Assembly elections on 121 constituencies is underway.

The remaining 122 constituencies will vote in the second phase on November 11. Counting of votes will be held on November 14. (ANI)
