Congress leader Rajiv Shukla on Saturday said that the Bharatiya Janata Party's claim that the slogan of "Pakistan Zindabad" was raised during Bharat Jodo Yatra was "false".
Chavda, who resigned from Congress and joined BJP in 2019, is considered to be an influential leader from Ahir community. He was elected to the Assembly on a Congress ticket from the Manavadar seat of Junagadh district in 1990.
The party's general secretary Priyanka Gandhi Vadra, along with her husband Robert Vadra, also participated in the yatra with party MP Rahul Gandhi and others.
According to sources, Venugopal, who came to Delhi after meeting Rahul and Priyanka during Bharat Jodo Yatra, had a discussion with Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge on the political crisis. After that, Venugopal's upcoming journey to Jaipur on November 29 was decided.
Gandhi made an announcement that if Congress comes back to power in Madhya Pradesh, the word 'Vanvasi' would be abolished and the tribals would be given their rights.
