As Congress was poised to form government in Himachal Pradesh according to the results and trends of the counting of votes, party president Mallikarjun Kharge on Thursday said Rahul Gandhi's Bharat Jodo Yatra has contributed in party's performance in the hill state.
Accusing LS TV, Gandhi said that the channel never turns towards the opposition in the parliamentary session whenever they try to raise the issues like demonetisation or China.
He sent his registration letter to Rajasthan Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot, senior party leader Sachin Pilot and Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge, besides PCC chief GS Dotasra stating that he tried to serve the party through various activities but in vain.
A video of the impromptu dance performance surfaced on social media, showing Rahul, Gehlot and Pilot holding hands and dancing with folk artistes on the stage.
The video, which purportedly has Rahul Gandhi's voiceover and bears the Congress' 'Bharat Jodo Yatra' logo, claims that the saffron party was spending a huge amount of money to defame his image.
Congress President Mallikarjun Kharge presided over the meeting, and the Committee unanimously resolved that the 85th Plenary Session of the Indian National Congress will be held at Raipur in the second half of February 2023.
Congress MP KC Venugopal on Sunday said that it is not practical for former party president Rahul Gandhi to attend the winter session of Parliament as Bharatb Jodo Yatra is underway.
