In a joint operation on Wednesday, Military Intelligence unit of Southern Command of Indian Army and the MIDC Police Station in Ahilyanagar apprehended three Bangladeshi nationals who were illegally residing and working in the region for the past two years using forged Indian documents.
In a successful joint operation, the Southern Command Military Intelligence Unit and Kondhwa Police Station of Pune City Police apprehended four illegal immigrants from Bangladesh residing in a labour camp near Punyadham Ashram Road, Notting Hill Society, Pune.
The accused were residing in the Anand Vihar area of East Delhi and attempting to evade detection. Their apprehension marks a critical step in the continued enforcement efforts of Delhi Police to ensure internal security and uphold immigration laws.
In an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration, the East District Police of Delhi have apprehended five Bangladeshi nationals, including three minors, residing illegally in the National Capital Region, Delhi Police said.
In a major crackdown on illegal immigration, the Anti-Auto Theft Squad (AATS) of South West District Police has apprehended four Bangladeshi nationals residing unlawfully in the national capital for the past 12 years, officials said.
As part of an ongoing crackdown on illegal immigration, the Delhi Police have detained 121 Bangladeshi nationals from Outer North Delhi for residing in the country without valid documentation.
He further stated that a total of 121 Bangladeshi immigrants had been detained, and added that five people had been interrogated by the Special Investigation Team.
Delhi Police's Crime Branch has detained 13 Bangladeshi nationals, including five children, for allegedly residing in India without valid documentation. The individuals were apprehended from village Auchandi in the national capital.
"I am happy to tell you that in last six months, Southern range, covering south and southeast districts, have arrested and deported about 125 illegal Bangladeshi immigrants and around 100 illegal immigrants of other countries have also been deported," SK Jain said.
The arrested individuals, who had disguised themselves as transgender persons, were found to be engaging in begging and other activities at traffic signals to avoid suspicion.
Former Jharkhand Chief Minister Champai Soren raised serious concerns over the increasing infiltration of Bangladeshi immigrants and the proliferation of fake Aadhaar cards in the state, alleging inaction by the current state government.
