Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Monday briefed Prime Minister Narendra Modi about the relief measures undertaken by the state governemnt after the flood claimed the lives of 34 people, including two children.
Following incessant rainfall in the past few days, the flood waters of the Brahmaputra river have entered into Kaziranga National Park and Tiger Reserve (KNPTR) in Assam and inundated 61 out of 233 camps of the park.
