As Delhi gears up for its upcoming Assembly elections, the political rhetoric between the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has intensified, with both parties engaging in sharp exchanges.
The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) on Saturday released its second list of 29 candidates for the upcoming Delhi assembly elections, scheduled for February 5.
Stepping up its attack on AAP leader Arvind Kejriwal, BJP on Saturday alleged that he is the "kingpin" of the liquor scam and there was a loss of Rs 2,026 crore to the Delhi government.
Sitting MLA from Babarpur Assembly seat, Gopal Rai is in the electoral fray against Congress' candidate Haji Mohammad Ishraq Khan. The BJP is yet to announce its candidate for the seat.

Former Delhi Chief Minister Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) National Convenor Arvind Kejriwal on Saturday wrote to the Chief Election Commissioner regarding allegations of irregularities in the voter list in the New Delhi Assembly constituency ahead of the assembly polls in the national capital.
"The BJP has already accepted its defeat and they do not contest elections, they only do dishonesty. In these elections, our AAP workers have caught each and every dishonesty of theirs," Kejriwal said.
