Delhi Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party supremo Arvind Kejriwal and his wife Sunita Kejriwal offered prayers at Hanuman Mandir in Connaught Place in the national capital on Sunday.
Advocate Sanjeev Nasiar, the head of Aam Aadmi Party's (AAP) legal cell, said on Friday that an application will be filed for his bail in connection with the alleged assault on Swati Maliwal.
The plea alleges that Sunita Kejriwal and others illegally recorded the proceedings of the trial court when Delhi CM was produced before the trial court on March 28, 2024.
After the Delhi Court summoned Delhi Minister Atishi in a defamation case, Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal termed it a "dictatorship," and alleged that the Bharatiya Janata Party is planning to arrest all Aam Aadmi Party leaders.
Taking to the microblogging site, the NCW shared a statement on Monday in which it said that Arvind Kejriwal's aide Bibhav Kumar was called to the former's residence after Swati Maliwal entered the Chief Minister's residence.
BJP leader Gaurav Bhatia accused the Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal of destroying the evidence in a case related to the alleged assault of Swati Maliwal and said the AAP MP was assaulted at the "beck and call" of the Aam Admi Party national convenor.
Maliwal, who turned emotional, said she was told that nobody will stand with her, and that she did not think of what would happen to her or her career or what "would these people do" as she decided to file a police complaint
Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Rajya Sabha MP Swati Maliwal on Thursday expressed her readiness to undergo a polygraph test as she alleged victim shaming by the party.
"Has our PM stooped so low as to persecute elderly and ill parents? I don't think politics in the country has ever sunk this low," Atishi said while addressing the media.
