Central Railway's Railway Protection Force (RPF) has successfully apprehended two individuals who trespassed into the Motorman's cabin of a stationary local train at Kasara station.
The seizure was made on July 9 during a Long Range Patrolling operation launched in the Southern Sub Sector, covering areas such as Chismule, Narbula top, Zakle, and Zakla. The ITBP team was deployed to check infiltration and smuggling attempts along the border.
Police recovered 20 semi-automatic pistols from the accused. The recovered illegal arms have been manufactured in Khargone, MP and were being delivered to the end user at a price of around Rs 30,000 per piece, an official said.
The CBI laid a trap, and after the delivery of a bribe of Rs 20 lakh to the general & project manager of NHAI by an employee of the said private company, they were apprehended.
