Two Indian Army soldiers and two civilian porters were killed after terrorists attacked a military vehicle in Baramulla. One soldier and one porter are injured and undergoing treatment, Indian Army officials said.
Singh said this after performing 'Shastra Puja' at Sukna Cantonment in Darjeeling on the occassion of Vijaya Dashami or Dussehra and celebrated the festival with Army soldiers.
According to Indian Army officials, "Four Indian Army soldiers have been injured in the ongoing encounter with terrorists in Kishtwar. One of the injured has been evacuated to the nearby Command Hospital for treatment, while three are being treated locally."
The team completed the arduous expedition within a short time of nine days, negotiating a distance of over 100 km of high-altitude terrain under challenging weather conditions, demonstrating remarkable resilience, teamwork and determination of the Indian Army soldiers, the release said.
