Officials of Andhra Pradesh Police detained four persons and seized gold biscuits worth over Rs 2.5 crores in Tirupathi district from their possession, police said on Thursday.
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) leader Paritala Sunitha has alleged that the police acted as Yuvajana Shramika Rythu Congress Party (YSRCP) activists and pelted stones on TDP workers during temple celebrations in which four women and five others were injured.
As many as four people were killed including the driver and four others were said to be critical when a lorry collided with an auto at Chollapadam village in Komarada Mandal of Vizianagaram district in Andhra Pradesh, police said on Wednesday.
Telugu Desam Party leader Kommireddy Pattabhiram on Friday alleged that the Andhra Pradesh Police blocked the way of Chandrababu Naidu's programme 'Idemi Kharma Mana Rashtraniki' and said that Chief Minister Jagan Mohan Reddy would be responsible if the party national president is harmed.
"There was great joy in handing over lost cell phones to the people of 15 other states and to the people of 18 districts of our state," SP Fakirappa said while speaking to ANI.
The Police resorted to a lathi-charge to disperse Telugu Desam Party (TDP) workers who gathered to welcome TDP president N Chandrababu Naidu here on Wednesday.
