West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose on Saturday came down heavily on state Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee and said that she cannot bully or terrify him and she has no right to do character assassination through lies.
Reacting to the "untold story of hotel Taj Palace" and "3 pm" remarks of Trinamool Congress leader Kunal Ghosh, West Bengal Governor Ananda Bose on Friday said he would answer after the deadline given by the TMC leader.
The standoff between the Governor and the state's ruling party, TMC, was triggered by a Raj Bhavan communication inviting the two newly elected MLAs of Bhagwangola and Baranagar, Reyat Hossain Sarkar and Banerjee, respectively, to take oath at the Governor's House on Wednesday.

West Bengal's Leader of Opposition and BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari, was stopped by the police on Thursday from entering the Raj Bhavan to meet West Bengal Governor CV Ananda Bose with alleged victims of post-poll violence.
In a letter to the Governor of West Bengal, BJP leader Suvendu Adhikari said that after the 2024 Parliamentary General Election results were announced on June 4th, 'goons of the ruling dispensation' has gone 'berserk upon the workers of BJP' in West Bengal.
