The Border Security Force in a joint operation with Punjab Police recovered a drone along with narcotics on the outskirts of Daoke village in Amritsar district, the BSF said in a statement on Saturday.
The Border Security Force (BSF) deployed at the Amritsar border once again foiled the nefarious designs of smugglers to smuggle contraband drugs with the recovery of 360 grammes of heroin concealed in a bottle from Amritsar's Daoke village, the BSF said in a release.
The Border Security Force (BSF) has recovered yet another Pakistani drone with one packet suspected to be heroin from a paddy field on the outskirts of Dhaone Khurd village in Amritsar.
"Depth deployed troops of @BSF_Punjab heard the sound of #Pakistani drone & dropping by it. On searching 1 big packet containing 5.260 kg heroin has been recovered near Village Rai, District- #Amritsar," BSF tweeted.
The Public Relations Officer, Punjab Frontier, BSF in a statement said that the gross weight of the recovered consignment of suspected narcotics is approximately 2.7 kg.
BSF personnel deployed near Dhanoe village in Khurd district in Amritsar shoot down and intercepted the drone after they heard a buzzing sound of the drone at about 9:35 pm yesterday.
