The Supreme Court on Wednesday slammed the Punjab and Punjab governments for failure to take action against stubble burning in the states and said it is a fundamental right of all citizens to live in a clean and pollution-free environment.
Experts have pointed out that stubble burning, though is a serious issue that needs to be addressed, is not the only reason behind the air pollution in Delhi, and there are several other factors within Delhi that drive the menace.
In his third letter to the Union Environment Minister, Rai intended to follow up on his request for the meeting so that cloud seeding in Delhi is possible to curb the worsening of pollution.
