Congress MP Manish Tewari on Monday gave an adjournment motion notice in the Lok Sabha demanding a discussion on border clashes between India and China and India's trade deficit with China.
Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha witnessed several adjournments in the last session, with Congress and other opposition parties insisting on a debate on the NEET-UG controversy while the government was keen to take up the motion of thanks on the President's address.
Congress MPs KC Venugopal and Manickam Tagore on Monday gave adjournment motion notices in Lok Sabha demanding a discussion on the ongoing row over the alleged irregularities in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET) conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA).
Congress MP Manish Tewari gave an adjournment motion in Lok Sabha on Monday seeking a discussion on the three new criminal laws that came into force from July 1.
"I urge the government to take swift action in appointing the 15 lakh youth who were selected for the Army, Air Force, and Navy between 2019 and 2022. The delay in their appointment has caused distress and uncertainty, and it is imperative to resolve this deadlock promptly," the Congress MP
"Since this Budget Session is the final session of the 17th Lok Sabha prior to the General Elections, I request that this House be adjourned to discuss the India-China border situation," Tewari said in his notice.
Congress-led United Democratic Front on Thursday sought an adjournment motion in the Kerala Assembly to debate a Serious Fraud Investigation Office (SFIO) inquiry against the IT company owned by Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan's daughter, T. Veena.
Congress MP Gaurav Gogoi on Thursday gave an Adjournment Motion Notice in the Lok Sabha on Friday and demanded a discussion on the border situation with China.
"To discuss about the critical issue affecting Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) in Tamil Nadu, particularly concerning the aggressive actions taken by private banks against these businesses in the matter of loan repayments," Manickam Tagore said in his notice.
"There is an urgent need to review the current situation and discuss the roadmap for bringing back peace and normalcy in the region," Gogoi said in his notice.
"I have been constantly raising this matter since August 2022 both inside and outside the House but the response of the Government has been - NO RESPONSE for -14 months," Tewari said in his notice.
