Congress leader KC Venugopal expressed confidence in the Supreme Court delivering justice to Bihar, highlighting concerns over the voter list issues in Bihar.
Congress MP and Lok Sabha Leader of Opposition Rahul Gandhi arrived in Jamalpur on the sixth day of the 'Voter Adhikaar Yatra,' aimed at addressing concerns over alleged voter fraud.
"They are stealing votes as they want to steal your money, future and want to make the future of Adani and Ambani...But we are going to stop them in Bihar..." Rahul Gandhi said while addressing the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Munger today.
The 16-day yatra is aimed at raising awareness about alleged irregularities in the voter list and what opposition leaders are calling a case of 'vote chori' (vote theft). Covering over 1,300 km across 20 districts, the yatra is scheduled to conclude in Patna on September 1.
The Yatra, continuing for the fifth day, reached Sheikhpura earlier today. Leaders of the party, along with leaders of alliance partners Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD), Communist Party of India (Marxist-Leninist), and Vikassheel Insaan Party (VIP) participated in the rally.
Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, "People of Bihar are aware citizens. They know their rights. The manner in which 'Voter Bachao Adhikar Yatra' is going on, we have been getting full support and blessings of the people. This is a historic Yatra. People of BJP and the Election Commission
According to Tejashwi Yadav, this bill is a ploy to "blackmail and intimidate" certain leaders, specifically naming Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar and Andhra CM Chandrababu Naidu.
Earlier today, Opposition leaders reacted sharply to the government's move to bring several bills in the Lok Sabha today, saying that it is a "desperate attempt" to distract attention from the 'Vote Adhikar Yatra' of LoP Rahul Gandhi.
"It has become their habit to talk with disruptive thinking. Bihar is very ahead in political thinking, they understand everything. Bihar is a tourist spot for them. When elections come, they go there, and then they leave like that," the BJP MP told ANI at Parliament premises.
