"Getting full support and blessings of people": Tejashwi Yadav on 'Voter Adhikar Yatra'

Speaking to reporters, Yadav said, "People of Bihar are aware citizens. They know their rights. The manner in which 'Voter Bachao Adhikar Yatra' is going on, we have been getting full support and blessings of the people. This is a historic Yatra. People of BJP and the Election Commission have been exposed. In the days to come people of Bihar will give a befitting reply to the current government."

Patna (Bihar) [India], August 21 (ANI): RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav on Thursday termed the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in Bihar a "historic" yatra, adding that the campaign is getting full support and blessings from the people of the state.
He also criticised the Nitish Kumar-led government in Bihar, saying that people are worried and dejected due to poverty, corruption, law and order issues, migration, lack of investment, and poor education and health systems in the state.
"People of Bihar are aware citizens. They know their rights. How 'Voter Bachao Adhikar Yatra' is going on, we have been getting full support and blessings of the people. This is a historic Yatra. People of the BJP and the Election Commission have been exposed. In the days to come, people of Bihar will give a befitting reply to the current government," he said.
"He (CM Nitish Kumar) can do whatever he wants, but nothing is going to come out of it. People of Bihar have realised the reality of the NDA. Poverty, corruption, law and order, migration, there is no investment or factory in Bihar, no sugar or jute mill is being set up. People are worried and dejected. They are not being heard. Education and health systems are bad in the state. People want freedom from this 'khatara government' and want to build a new Bihar. People of Bihar will bring about a change this time," the RJD leader added.
The 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', which began on August 17 from Sasaram, has entered its fifth day today.
The 16-day yatra has been organised to protest against the Election Commission's Special Intensive Revision (SIR) of the voter list in Bihar and alleged 'vote chori'. The yatra will cover more than 1,300 km across over 20 districts and conclude in Patna on September 1.
Earlier on Wednesday, when asked about the 'Voter Adhikar Yatra', Tejashwi Yadav remarked that there's a lot of anger among the people. "The public is saying 'Vote Chor Gaddi Chhodd'...," he added.
Hailing the positive response to his 'Voter Adhikar Yatra' in poll-bound Bihar, Congress MP and Leader of Opposition in Lok Sabha Rahul Gandhi expressed confidence that the entire country will also be resisting 'election chori' (election theft).
Speaking to reporters at Parliament premises, the Congress leader said, "The response is very good. Everyone is now saying 'vote chori' in Bihar. This is reality. Attempt of 'election chori' is being made. Bihar is resisting. The entire country will resist." (ANI)

In an 'X' post, TMC said the government has "ek hi naara, line mein rahe desh bechara," pointing to past governmental measures including demonetisation, the COVID-19 vaccine rollout, the Special Identification Registration (SIR), and now the LPG shortage. The party described demonetisation as a "Tughlaqi farman" that forced ordinary citizens to wait in serpentine queues outside banks and ATMs for days to access their own money. The post also highlighted the 2020 COVID-19 oxygen crisis, when families stood in long lines outside hospitals and suppliers as the public health system collapsed.
