The Delhi Police on Wednesday recorded the statements of accused Aaftab Amin Poonawalla's family in the gruesome Shraddha Walkar murder case, said sources.
The accused, who was arrested from the crime scene while he was trying to flee late Tuesday night, had a fight with the family members over not having a stable job, the police said citing a preliminary investigation into the case.
Aaftab is accused of strangling Shraddha, his live-in partner, to death and chopping her body into 35 pieces. He is also alleged to have preserved the chopped body parts in a refrigerator before dumping them in the forests of south Delhi's Chhatarpur.
