Brij Lal Bhat, awarded for social work, dedicated his achievement to Vivekananda Kendra, Kanyakumari. Speaking to ANI, he recalled years of effort to sustain and promote Sanatan Dharma in regions affected by terrorism.

India celebrates its 77th Republic Day on Monday, as the nation comes together to mark the adoption of the Constitution and showcase its rich cultural and military heritage.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, MoS Home Rai said, "Tejashwi Yadav's coronation as Working President of the party is neither new for the RJD nor for Bihar. The Lalu family has been working on the principle of 'family first' in Bihar for the past three decades. In the same sequence, Tejashwi Yadav has been formally made the RJD Working President today, but the fact is that RJD's functioning and control have been in Tejashwi Yadav's hands for years."

Chidambaram stated that the government had made the process of selecting Padma Awardees easier by prioritising individuals from states where elections are due. He contrasted this with the proposed "One Nation, One Election" model, suggesting that such a system would have complicated the award process.

The national capital has been placed on high alert on the occasion of the 77th Republic Day, with intensified security checks underway across the Delhi-NCR region.

Speaking to ANI on Sunday, Gowda said she never imagined that her lifelong commitment to providing books to children would be honoured with one of India's highest civilian awards and expressed gratitude to the government for acknowledging her efforts.
